DD/24/011Geethanji Nethsara

     Delf Island is a popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka. It takes 40 minutes drive from Jaffna to reach this Island. There is a ferry service to this Island. It takes nearly  one  hour's journey from the jetty.  The center of attraction in this land is a 'Growing Stone' warship by the Hindu devotees there.           They celebrate an annual festival in the Kovil. A part of the Island is reserved for the wild horses and ponies to roam freely. The fresh water is supplied at 'Devi's Well' for the people of this Island . There is a 'gain baobab tree' and the old stables of the Dutch era and the gain footprints in this land. 

2 💃 My favourite hobby is dancing. I dance at home and at school during events. Dancing gives me happy and keeps me healthy. I practice different types of dance, such as traditional and modern dance.  Some times, I perform in front of my family and friends.🙊  They always encourage me and clap for me. Dancing is not only fun but also helps me improve my skills. I dance in my free time.👀  My family are help to improve my dancing knowledge. Dancing is a not easy activity. That is why dancing is my favourite hobby. 💗💗 

  My favourite game is cricket. It is a popular game in the world. We should need two teams to play this game. There are eleven players in a team. We need a bat, a ball, a helmet, pads, gloves and stumps to play cricket. Two umpires need to give decisions. One  players throws a ball at three wickets. The batsman tries to nit the ball.   There are test matchers, T twenty matchers, 50 - overs matchers played today. We can play this game as a hobby. I like this game very much. 

💕I have so many friends. But, my best friend is Himandhi Sineka. She is very kind and generously girl.  She is 21 years old. She lives in Piliyandala. I met her at school. Her family has five members.  She helps me with my studies.  She has sharp eyes and a short nose. She has wavy hair and a long face. She is beautiful girl. We are now studying in the same faculty at the University of  Visual and Performing Arts.  Her ambitions to be a dancing teacher. I am happy to have a friend like her.💕   

🌍Earth is our planet and home. We live on the earth. It is our home. We need oxygen, water, food, dwellings, clothes and trees   to live. Earth provides with us all these ingredients. We  have no other planets to live. It gives us protection, love, sharing and caring just like  our home. So we must appreciate and honors the diversity of the earth and we must live in peace and harmony. Earth is very useful planet for people and animals. So we must save the earth for our future generation.  🌎 

  🌱Trees are very useful and helpful. We can't  live without trees. There are many advantages of trees. 🌳   T hey  provide us with shade and flowers. They give us timber to build our houses. They also give use food and medicines 🌿 . Trees bring rain and provide water to drink, and gives us oxygen to breathe. 🌲  Trees are very beautiful. But people cut down trees. So we must protect  trees for our future generation.  🍀  We must protect our trees as they are like our mothers. I love trees, and trees are our friends 🍃.

 💖There are many people in this world. The person I like most  is my brother. My brother's name is Saman Priyankara. He is 32 years old. He is an Air Force officer. He studied at Paragasthota Vidyaloka Maha Vidyalaya.  He has a pointed nose and sharp eyes. He has a round face and he is tall. He  gives good advice and he helps to my university works. He likes to travel around  Sri Lanka. His favourite hobbies are watching films and manufacturing vehicles. He is very kind and helpful. He likes learning new things in everyday. He is my hero. He wakes up early in the morning. He is organized in his work and daily routine. My family and I  are proud of my brother. I love my brother, and he loves me too.💖  

                      💛  My  village is Gorakathuduwa. It is situated in the Paragasthota area. My village is pleasant and beautiful.  It is very famous. Generous and kind people  live in my village.😚 There  are many birds and  trees in this  village. It is very valuable places, vegetables, animals and fruits in my village. Some of them are beautiful paddy fields,  beans, pumpkins, potatoes, bananas, mangoes, rambutans, mangosteens and cashew trees🌴. There are also temple, butterflies, cats, dogs and peacocks  in my village🦚. There are many  valuable trees such as banana trees, cashew trees and coconut trees. Many beautiful flowers  grow in my village. Some of them are roses , orchids, anthurium, gardenias, jasmines, water lilies, lotuses etc.🌻  My village has a very clean natural surrounding. It is a very busy village. People help each other and we all live like...

💗' Reading makes a full man'. This is a great saying that we should all keep in mind. My main source of information is books. Books are a great blessing and a very useful source of knowledge. They make a person complete. Books give us knowledge, information, advice and many other things.  There are books our guides and philosophers. We can borrow books from libraries ,bookshops and book fairs. Books are written by experienced people, so they are very useful to everyone. Because of this, reading makes a person complete. Books also make us sensitive to certain issues in society.💗

       💥 My name is Geethanji Nethsara Pieris, and I am 21 years old🙈. My religion is Buddhism. I went to my first school is Paragasthota Vidyaloka Maha Vidyalaya and my second school is Sripalee College in Horana🎖️. I studied Arts for my Advanced Level Exams. I passed the exam and got selected to the university🎓🧑‍🎓.   My university name is The Visual and Performing Arts, where I am in my first year 🤎 . I enjoy university life and take my studies very seriously. My favourite subject is Dancing 💃 ❤️ . I really like to dance in my free time.  ❤️‍🩹😍      🩷❤️ I have one brother and one sister. ⏩There many information sources in our world. Some of them are Face Book, Instagram, Laptops, Dictionaries, Magazines, You Tube, letters, posters, Whats App, news papers, mobile phones etc. All these can be seen in Sri Lanka too. Among them , dictionaries are very valuable sources of information. Some people uses of a dictionary in search in words. It has in three language in this book. Because the all people can uses in this book. It has similar meaning in words. Especially this book is very useful for students.   

💥 Many festivals in our Sri Lanka. Some of them are Sinhala and Tamil New Year, Thai Pongal, Vesak, Esala Full Moon Poya Day, Deepavali, Hajji Festival etc. Among them Vesak is my  favourite festival. It is in May. It is celebrated by Buddhists. This day is very special full moon Poya day. We celebrate the Triple Anniversary of the Buddha on Vesak Day. We go to temple and observe sil on this day. We make Vesak lanterns and light oil lamps. We decorate our houses with colourful bulbs. People organized refreshment stalls in villages and towns. During this time, people make Vesak pandals and we go to see them. Vesak is a very happy season. So I like this festival very much. 

  There are many places in Sri Lanka. Some of them are Kataragama,  Anuradhapura ,Haggle  Botanical Garden , Peradeniya Botanical Garden ,Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, etc. Among them are Peradeniya Botanical Garden is very important garden. Peradeniya  Botanical Garden located in Kandy district. It is a very beautiful place .There are many beautiful flowers, many birds, many butterflies , rare trees, many trees and plants in this garden. They add beauty to this place.  Mahavali river flows thought in this garden. It garden is many people attraction place. There are foreign people and local people come to visit this place in daily. We can get a pleasure and knowledge and by visiting this garden. So we  must conserve this garden for our future generation.💕
